Grist Mill construction documents, 1815 December 16.

Persuant to a writ of ad quod damnum twelve freeholders of Montgomery County certify that a water grist mill, dam and ditch proposed by Governor James P. Preston on Stroubles Creek will not injure the property of others and will be a public convenience. With the copy of the certification is the 1815 December 15 summons to the freeholders signed by Montgomery County clerk Charles Tayler with a March 1816 docket indicating Preston was allowed to erect the mill.
